Brass Templates from Lasting Impressions and Rubber Stamping.

About Me

My photo
Hi. I'm Donna and the owner of a business called Luv2Emboss. I've been crafting since the moment I could color with a crayon without eating it first! I have been embossing with Lasting Impressions' Brass Templates for 20 years and I am on their Design Team. I also love to craft with rubber stamps and I sell Lawn Fawn products. I hope the cards and projects I display will perk your interest to try a new craft or play with an old one! Enjoy. :-)

HAPPY THANKSGIVING

Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Again, I've been too busy to post but not too late to wish you all a wonderful turkey day! Personally, we love turkey and I can hardly wait for the feast. Here's a couple of wonderful Thanksgiving Cards (including the colorful turkey done by my friend Barbara), and a big wish to all enjoy your families! Embossing joys, :-) Donna

WHAT'S BREWIN' ?

Oh my goodness ... where have I been? Well, besides going on a month-long driving trip to see my #1 Bucket List place (Mt. Rushmore), I have been extremely busy helping Lasting Impressions work up their business and I've created a Blog on their web site with a wonderful Design Team. That has kept me so busy, I've not had a moment to breathe elsewhere! Please take some time to visit Lasting Impressions for some wonderful ideas and projects. And, in the meantime, Happy Halloween to you all. Embossing joys, :-) Donna

Back to School

Boy, I've been so busy working on Lasting Impressions' Blog, I've not had time for my own blog! Not good. Here's a back-to-school project I just finished using a composition book. I also made a Christmas one, with sections (using L.I. Template #M30), for my Christmas Card List, Gifts, my Thank You Note reminders, Christmas Recipes and Important Dates, Memories, New Year's Resolutions, and Miscellaneous. I think this Christmas one will really come in handy. Embossing joys, :-) Donna

August Card Samples -- Finally!

Whew ... where has August gone too? Life is definitely going way too fast. I've been super busy with Lasting Impressions, working on their Blog, and I finally have a moment to breath and show you some of my most recent projects. I hope they will inspire you to do some embossing of your own. With much embossing joy, :-) Donna

Thinking of You!

I've been a bit frustrated lately because the new L.I. Design Team has not been able to upload all of their new "Christmas in July" designs and July is about to end! Not good. If all else fails, I will soon be uploading some of our ideas to this blog. In the meantime, I have a card to share with you. My friend Nancy just made this card using L.I.'s 6x6 Cardstock Pads and template #L9704. While many of the cardstock designs in these pads have been discontinued, the pads are a great way to still use these wonderful papers. AND, they are on sale at L.I. for just $2 each. Here's Nancy's card and see if you don't agree with me ... it's so pretty! Happy Embossing. :-) Donna

Summer has arrived!

Good morning. Don't know what the weather is like where you are but here in San Diego, we are experiencing some really warm days! I'm currently preparing for my class on Saturday and I decided to do two cards that I "pinched" from my good friend Nettie. She is one of the most talented card designers I know and currently on the new L.I. Design Team. I'm also doing a cute card using a Sizzix Die I just got which not only cuts the A2 card out perfectly but it leaves a very nice decorative shape on the end that opens the card. Then I'm doing one stamped card and the adorable dog stamp is from Whipper Snapper. The rest of the supplies, of course, are from L.I. Enjoy your day and keep cool! Embossing joys, :-) Donna

Whoooo's Thinking of You?

Look at this adorable card created by my friend Barbara! The sentiment is cute, of course, but I love her paper combinations ... all from Lasting Impressions. Barbara does such a nice job and this owl is one of my favorites. I hope you like it too.

Happy Monday

I'm sure most of you have noticed that Lasting Impressions is having some difficulties with their new web site. Apparently, the old one just plain quit and they had to quickly create a new Home Page with lots and lots of work yet to be done. Be patient. They are working to resolve the many issues they are now experiencing. In the meantime, I'm still stamping. Yesterday I took a Copics Class and I am now Copic Certified. It was a great class and I learned a lot. Here's a card I made recently and the design is similar to one I saw on the internet and immediately said, "I have to do this layout!" I hope it will inspire you to try something similar. Enjoy your day!

Happy Tuesday!

Tuesdays are my "popcorn date day" with my husband. I put my card making supplies aside (that's hard to do) and go see a movie! This is the card I made yesterday with a Penny Black Stamp called "Hanging On." The width of my card is cut short so that the mouse is cut out and hangs over in front of the inside page. I think the bunny's smile is so cute and I hope this card puts a smile on your face as well. Enjoy your day ... I'm off to the movies!

Greetings -- Happy Monday!

Well, it's Monday and gorgeous here in San Diego. I spent the weekend embossing and stamping. Here's one I can't resist posting. I love Penny Black's designs. I hope it puts a smile on your face as it did mine!

Hello

Well today I have my embossing apron on and I'm fulfilling some long over-due swap commitments! Here's the first one made with L.I. Template #L9654 Bloom.

Happy May!

Wow ... does the year seem to be zooming by to you? It sure is for me! I have been having fun with this silly Penny Black Hedgehog stamp and I can't seem to put it away. Here's another cute example. I love this color combination. Enjoy your day and relax!

Mother's Day is approaching!

Gosh, Mother's Day is right around the corner. I have two really neat, inspirational craft buddies (mother/daughter Nettie & Kathy) to blame for my current addiction to crafting with coasters! Here's an idea from them and it would make a great Mother's Day gift. I really enjoyed creating this one with Lasting Impressions' templates! Coasters anyone? :-)

Happy Easter!

Yesterday I taught a "Never-Ending-Card" class. If you have never done one, you must but, let me warn you it is very time consuming. Each page flips to the next page until you have completed all four pages and then it begins all over again. Consequently, the card really never "ends." This one is for Mother's Day and it is completely embossed until you flip to the last page and there's a stamped Hedgehog relaxing and enjoying his day, in the middle of the card. Take a peek and then go color some eggs ... I'm off to do just that. Happy Easter. :-)

Card Designs from Lasting Impressions

These are new card designs from Lasting Impressions. You can see them, more fully, by going directly to the Idea Gallery on their web site.

Happy Monday!

Today I hit my first stampin' frustration! I used a borrowed stamp to make this Love Quilt Card and while it was pretty, it was not easy. There was a lot of small detail. Take a look and you'll see what I mean!

The bunny is coming!

Easter is next weekend and I am rushing around trying to complete my Easter Cards and prepare for my next embossing class (the day before Easter). Here's a "peek" at one of my Easter Cards and a look at a second one which was inspired by my good friend, and fellow embosser, Nettie. She comes up with the best card designs! And lastly, a stamped Bunny that was just too cute to pass up! Enjoy.

Today's Giggle!

Here's a sample of a stamp I used from Whipper Snapper. It really made me giggle. I hope it puts a smile on your face too!

Hip-hippo Hooray!

I just got this adorable card from my Aussie Buddy Julie. I had surprised her with this Sizzix Hippo Die and in return she made me a Hip-hippo Horray card using a product called Action Wobbles. You mount the "wobble" behind the hippo body and she now wobbles and/or shakes. Isn't she cute?

Forgive Me!

I've been traveling and finally home! Whew. Here's a quick card I managed to do "on the road" and it's the first time I've used Sugar Blossom Cardstock from L.I. I really like how this card turned out. I hope you do too and forgive me for being so behind! :-)

Happy St. Patty's Day!

Here's a cute idea from L.I. using one of my favorite templates ... the love jar! Happy St. Patty's Day everyone!
